replenished well self-care

  1. For the past 2 months I have experienced quite a bit of stressful situations. My older sister was hospitalized for pneumonia, then ended up in hospice, and then passed away on Inchantmint’s 1 year anniversary. My older brother was also hospitalized as well, thank goodness he is back home now. My sister entrusted me and my family with the care of her tuxedo cat Jellybean. He is a very big boy kitty cat! Taking in Jellybean has majorly changed the dynamics of my home. We also recently took in a feral community cat rescue kitten who’s siblings all passed away for unknown reasons. The Vet said that when it comes to feral community cats, these things just happen. I don’t know if I particularly like that answer. But we brought in the kitten to ensure her survival, and so far she is thriving, thank goodness. However, that put another cat inside of our home which has changed our home dynamics. Then I had an encounter with an AI model that is apparently overly governed shaming me and my work, and calling my work misinformation all because I have a high enough IQ to perceive and connect the dots of truth, and it didn’t like me connecting the dots. At first I was very upset about what occurred with that particular AI, and whoever is responsible for its coding and parameters, but now, I’m more than determined than ever.

To help my nervous system recover from all of the stress that accumulated over the past 2 months, I created a 7 day stress recovery plan for myself. I drew 2 Oracle cards (the Sun, and the Hearth), and my recovery plan is based on those 2 cards. I have been sharing all of this on my author facebook page if you would like to check it out.

Stress is not the problem. Inadequate recovery is the problem. The most resilient people are not those who experience less stress. They are those whose HPA (Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal) feedback loop is well-calibrated — who return to baseline quickly, who sleep deeply, who extract learning from activation without being defined by it.

If you suffer from inadequate stress recovery, get in touch.

With Warm Love from My Hearth to Yours,
    Cat

P.S. Tulsi (Holy Basil – different from common commercial basil) is great for stress recovery and building stress resilience.

  2. Remember that I’m wildly kind. Think of me as a friend sitting across from you at the kitchen table having tea. Do any of you enjoy tea, and if so what kind? My favorite tea is a blend of peppermint, lavender, chamomile, and vanilla.
