Welcome to Inchantmint Cottage Sanctuary. This place is held with care — a warm hearth for study, practice, and gentle transformation. Read these guidelines before posting. By participating you agree to uphold the sanctuary’s tone of safety, clarity, and respect.

Community Intent

  • We gather to learn, practice, and support growth in witchcraft, metaphysics, and healing arts. Keep curiosity, humility, and compassion at the center of your words.
  • Honor diverse paths and practices. Disagreement is possible; disrespect is not.

Basic Rules

  • Be kind and clear. No harassment, abuse, hateful speech, or personal attacks.
  • Respect privacy. Do not share another member’s personal information or private posts without explicit consent.
  • No illegal activity. Do not request or instruct on illegal acts.
  • No medical/psychiatric diagnosis or replacement of professional care. Offer peer support and resources, but direct people to licensed professionals for crises.
  • Keep children’s safety foremost. Do not post instructions that could endanger minors or encourage harmful practices.

Consent & Boundaries

  • Consent is sacred here. Always obtain explicit consent for any direct healing, psychic work, divination for another person, or posting of personal material.
  • For group workings, list the intention, methods, time/date, and what participation entails. Provide opt-out instructions and an easy way to remove oneself.
  • Do not perform non-consensual energetic work. If you feel called to hold someone in prayer, healing, or focused intention, ask them first or offer to send distant support only if they consent.

Trigger Warnings & Sensitive Content

  • Use clear trigger warnings (TW) at the start of posts containing trauma, graphic content, or intense shadow-work prompts. Offer content notes and suggested grounding practices.
  • Keep the Healing & Inner Work board trauma-informed: no shaming, do not pressure members into deep work without consent, and include resources and grounding suggestions.

Ethics of Sharing

  • Attribute sources when you quote from books, courses, or other people’s work. If sharing a ritual or technique drawn from a living teacher or tradition, include credits and notes on cultural sensitivity.
  • Do not copy entire copyrighted works without permission. Summarize, cite, or link to sources.

Moderation & Safety

  • Moderators are caretakers. Follow moderator guidance and decisions. If you disagree with moderation, use the Report procedure below.
  • Moderators may move, edit, hide, or remove posts that break guidelines. Repeated or severe violations can lead to temporary suspension or permanent banning.

Respectful Self-Promotion

  • Use Marketplace & Collaborations for shop announcements, services, and paid offerings. Label paid posts clearly and follow listing rules. Excessive self-promotion in other boards may be moderated.

A note on Ritual Power & Responsibility

  • Magic affects people and the world. Frame work with clear intention, take responsibility for outcomes, and prioritize consent and safety.

Quote to hold: “I seek the hidden, craft the useful, and serve with gentle clarity.”

Report & Moderation Procedures

We maintain a fair, transparent moderation system to keep the sanctuary safe and tender.

How to Report

  • Use the forum’s Report button on the post, or send a private message to any moderator with: link to post, short description of the issue, and any supporting context or screenshots. If you’re uncomfortable reporting publicly, contact a mod privately.

What Moderators Will Do

  • Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours (usually sooner).
  • Review the report, the post history, and relevant context.
  • Take action as appropriate: warn, edit, move, hide, or remove content; message involved members; temporarily suspend accounts; or ban where necessary.
  • Escalate serious cases (harassment, threats, doxing) for immediate removal and possible permanent ban.

Confidentiality & Safety

  • Reports are handled discreetly; moderators keep identifying information limited to those necessary for resolution. If safety is at risk, moderators may contact platform support.

Appeals

  • If you disagree with a moderation decision, reply to the moderator handling the case or send a private appeal explaining your perspective. Moderators will review and respond within 7 days. Appeals may be escalated to a moderator lead.

Transparency

  • Moderation actions (removed posts and the reasons) may be logged in a private Mod board. Summarized trends and policy updates may be shared publicly without identifying individuals.

Emergency & Crisis

  • For immediate threats to life or safety, contact local emergency services. For mental-health crises, seek local crisis hotlines or licensed professionals. Moderators can provide links to resources but cannot replace emergency services.

Moderator Expectations

  • Moderators act with impartiality, compassion, and the sanctuary’s rules in mind. Conflicts of interest should be disclosed; moderators with a close personal relationship to a case will recuse themselves.
